Natural fabrics, Artisan-made

Welcome to Amaya!
I’m Devika Jadhav, the founder and designer of Amaya. With an education from London College of Fashion and a rich background working with luxury heritage brands in India, I felt inspired to create a line that blended traditional artistry of the East with contemporary aesthetics of the West.

My journey with this brand began with a simple ask—why is it so difficult to find high-quality beautiful clothing made from natural fabrics?
In a fashion world dominated by polyester, nylon, and other synthetic fabrics, I yearned for something different—clothing that not only looks good but also feels good, inside and out.

Our design philosophy

Inspired by my Indian heritage, I collaborate closely with skilled artisans, reviving hand embroidery, block printing, and intricate dyeing techniques passed down through generations. Every fabric, trim, and finish is chosen with love and care. Amaya is a testament to my belief in preserving tradition and creating clothing that tells a story.

Our workmanship

At Amaya, we celebrate the art of hand embroidery to create intricately detailed one-of-a-kind clothing. Our artisans, working with their families and communities, dedicate 20-30 hours to meticulously craft each hand embroidered piece. These skills are passed down through generations and each of our garments carries a piece of their heritage. By adding their personal touch, these artisans bring a unique legacy to every piece.

Why natural fabrics?

At Amaya, natural fabrics are at the heart of every piece we create. I choose natural materials because they breath and feel luxurious. Unlike polyester or nylon, natural fibers like cotton and linen are gentle on the skin and have a soft, inviting texture that only gets better with time. By using these materials, we’re not only making clothing that looks and feels good but also supporting a more responsible approach to fashion.
